We do not currently accept insurance. We do accept HSA and FSA cards as payment for sessions, as well as other major debit/credit cards. Matrescent Mind is currently considered an out-of-network provider, which means your insurance company may reimburse a portion of your costs if you file a claim yourself.
We know it can be frustrating trying to find therapy in the greater Nashville area that is covered by insurance. That is why we are currently in the process of getting credentialed and paneled with Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO of TN plans. As this develops we will update our existing and potential clients.
For all other insurance plans, Matrescent Mind is considered an out of network provider.
*If you would like to submit claims to your insurance company, you can request a superbill from your clinician. This document will have all of the necessary codes that insurance companies need.

It depends. If you are goal oriented and want quick symptom relief, let your clinician know and focus on hard tools and skills. However, you have to do the work too to see results. We aren't wizards (We wish). Some folks can notice symptom relief within 6-12 sessions.
Other folks want to dive deep and take things slow and have therapy as an on-going supportive space. This could be as short as 6 months up to the rest of their life! It's all based on an individuals needs, wants, impact on their life, and the supportive style that fits them best.
45 to 90 minutes depending on where you are in your treatment and your specific wants/needs.
LPC-MHSP= Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation. This means a clinician is at the highest license for their level of education (Master's degree). Each counselor goes through thousands of hours (literally 3,360 hrs) to obtain a license through the state board. If you are licensed in multiple states, you must meet each state's requirements to obtain a license.
*Stephanie is also licensed in Illinois. In IL, they call the license LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor).
PMH-C= Perinatal Mental Health-Certified. This is a certification through the organization, Postpartum Support International. Each professional must be fully and independently licensed, take approved training courses in perinatal mental health and finally take an exam and pass. Once you have completed those requirements, you must complete 12 hours of continuing education every two years.
Please sign up for a 15 min free consultation first and during this call we will collect all the necessary information to get you scheduled. Please be ready during this call with your current availability, any specifics you want to work on in therapy, and a payment method. Then we will find a time on the calendar!
That's okay! We will help find you someone new. It's important to like your therapist and feel like they are helping you progress towards your goals.
